Conduct<\/b>\n<p>\nCamp Yamhill is a Christian, faith-based camp and is designed to be a safe place that focuses on what unites us rather than what divides us.\nAll participants at Camp will make every effort to maintain a spirit of unity (as outlined in the Statement of Faith) and refrain from provoking individual, social, or political agendas.\nTo support this mission, I agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct.\n<\/p><p>\n<b>Basic conduct I will:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>Respect the schedule and be where I am supposed to be at the appropriate time.<\/li>\n<li>Respectfully listen and participate in times of worship.<\/li>\n<li>Do my best to participate in activities.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage everyone no matter their skill set.<\/li>\n<li>Fully engage in the Camp experience and encourage others to do the same.<\/li>\n<li>Respect decisions and outcomes of events and focus on the benefit of the activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p><p>\n<b>While interacting with Camp Staff I will:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>Respect the Yamhill Staff and follow the Camp rules.<\/li>\n<li>Follow directions at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Listen and act appropriately in emergency situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p><p>\n<b>While interacting with fellow campers I will:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>Refrain from bullying or intimidation.<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from profanity, coarse talk, suggestive speech and actions.<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from physical confrontations with others and seek the staff\u2019s help to settle issues.<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from instigating or manipulating people to act inappropriately.<\/li>\n<li>Respect other people\u2019s privacy.<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from Inappropriate Displays of Affection (IDA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nInappropriate Displays of Affection (IDA) is defined as physical contact or gestures that are inappropriate at Camp.\nIDA for unmarried individuals is not encouraged at Camp.\nAny IDA deemed excessive by the Director or Manager will be addressed discreetly.\n<\/p><p>\n<b>Facility use rules I will:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>Respect the grounds, buildings, and environment and leave Camp better than I found it.\n<li>Participate in the cleaning of my cabin area and keep the overall Camp looking nice. I understand that\n<li>All interactions (including but not limited to cabin assignments, bathroom usage, and conversations) will be based upon one\u2019s biological sex at birth. (Reasonable exceptions applied at Father\/Child Camp).\n<li>Non-married couples are not permitted to stay in the same cabin.\n<\/ul>\n<\/p><p>\n<b>To keep Camp Yamhill a safe and Christ-centered place I will not bring the following items:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>Alcohol.\n<li>Smoking or Vaping products of any kind.\n<li>Fireworks.\n<li>Weapons of any kind.\n<li>Pornographic material (pictorial or written).\n<li>Illegal, recreational or unprescribed drugs. (All prescribed drugs must be given to the Camp First Aid person during registration.)\n<\/ul>\n<\/p><p>\n<b>Camp Yamhill expects all campers and staff to comply willingly with the Code of Conduct and its enforcement.<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-pane kt-accordion-pane kt-accordion-pane-2 kt-pane2255_930e22-c6\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-header-wrap\"><button class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-header kt-acccordion-button-label-show\" type=\"button\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title-wrap\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title\">Camp Yamhill Dress Code<\/span><\/span><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-icon-trigger\"><\/span><\/button><\/div><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel kt-accordion-panel-hidden\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel-inner\">\n<b>The Camp Yamhill Dress Code<\/b>\n<br><p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under garments or sleepwear must be covered by outer garments and not be visible.<\/li>\n<li>Tight or form-fitting attire such as leggings, tights, or yoga pants must be worn with a long shirt that covers the buttocks.<\/li>\n<li>Shorts, skirts and dresses must be mid-thigh or longer in length, including any slits in the garment.<\/li>\n<li>Shirts and tops must be worn and must have at least 2-inch-wide shoulder straps. They must completely cover midriffs and backs and have non-revealing neck lines and arm holes.<\/li>\n<li>The waistband of pants, shorts, and skirts must be worn no lower than the hipline.<\/li>\n<li>Messages and\/or graphics on clothing and hats must be appropriate. When appearing on shorts or pants, they must be on the side of the legs only. No advertisements promoting or implying tobacco, alcohol, drugs or that use profanity or impure language. No political, cultural, or inflammatory statements that detract from the focus and direction of Camp.<\/li>\n<li>Whenever a camper will be going into the water (including baptisms, water hikes, etc.), dark clothing must be worn<\/li>\n<li>For safety reasons, closed-toed shoes must be worn when on water hikes and on the Challenge Course<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<br><p>\nAnyone who is in violation of the dress code will be required to change into appropriate clothing.\nIf anyone does not have appropriate clothing, the Camp office will do their best to supply a change of clothing from the lost &#038; found and\/or contact the parent\/guardian to deliver acceptable clothing.\n<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-pane kt-accordion-pane kt-accordion-pane-3 kt-pane2255_b50a66-80\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-header-wrap\"><button class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-header kt-acccordion-button-label-show\" type=\"button\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title-wrap\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title\">Camp Yamhill Dietary Policy<\/span><\/span><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-icon-trigger\"><\/span><\/button><\/div><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel kt-accordion-panel-hidden\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel-inner\">\n<b>Camp Yamhill Special Dietary Policy<\/b>\n<p>\nCamp Yamhill is a not-for-profit Christian ministry. \nOur goal is to keep costs reasonable and family oriented. \nThe ability to control food costs is based on economy of scale, the ability to serve one meal option to many people. \nAs much as we want to be considerate of all dietary and allergy requests and enable everyone to come to camp, Camp Yamhill must express a limit of liability. \n<\/p><p>\nSome requests are cost prohibitive and others are impossible due to the nature of our program and facilities. \nWe hope that all concerned campers and parents will appreciate our attempts to serve nutritious meals and accommodate dietary restrictions and choices as \nwe work within our parameters.\n<\/p>\n\n<b>Allergies<\/b>\n<p>\nSome of the more common allergies are allergies to peanuts and other tree nuts, gluten allergies and allergies to milk and dairy products. \nSome of these items are essential components of the meals served at Camp. \nIt is not possible for us to prepare separate meals for every special dietary need.\nHowever, we are prepared to meet special needs in the following ways:\n<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n<li>Camp Yamhill offers a variety of menu options that allow campers to choose which items they prefer. <\/li>\nNot all campers choose to include every menu item with their meals. \nMany meals will meet a camper\u2019s dietary restrictions by simply choosing to exclude a menu item which might be a problem for the affected camper. <\/li>\n<li>Camp Yamhill does not use peanuts or tree nuts in any of the food items we serve. However there are variables outside of our control. \nFor example, it is possible that another camper may bring snacks or other food items that contain peanuts or tree nuts. Camp Yamhill cannot guarantee a peanut free environment. <\/li>\n<li>Wheat flour contains gluten. Many of the items served at Camp contain wheat flour or other sources of gluten. \nThe simplest and safest way to avoid the gluten in these items is to substitute the items containing gluten. \nFor some meals that have a main component containing gluten (buns in hot dogs or hamburgers, spaghetti pasta or pizza crust) the Camp is willing to purchase and provide a gluten \nfree replacement if given at least one month advance notice of the need for special accommodations.\nIt is also possible for the kitchen to purchase and provide a gluten free snack or dessert.As a result of wheat flour and other potential allergens being \nregularly used in the Camp kitchen, Camp Yamhill cannot guarantee that cross contamination will not occur. <\/li>\n<li>Dairy allergies can be easily accommodated by avoiding dairy products. Camp provides rice milk and yogurt that is lactose free. <\/li>\n<li>Another option for campers with special dietary needs is to supplement meals provided by Camp with food brought from home. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>\nThe Camp&#8217;s kitchen is regulated by state and county health codes the same way restaurants are regulated. As a result of these stringent \nhealth codes it is not possible for the camp to store, refrigerate or prepare ANY food from an outside source.\nWe are also prevented from allowing our equipment to be used in the preparation of food from outside sources.\nCamp Yamhill does provide separate storage, refrigeration and microwaves for campers who wish to supplement meals. \nPlease give the Camp adequate notice so that space can be made available for your needs. \nOther Dietary NeedsMost meals have either a salad or fruit component and breakfast always includes oatmeal. \nMany of the other meals can become vegetarian by simply choosing to avoid the meat component or by the camper substituting a non meat item.\nCamp Yamhill is unable to accommodate vegan diets except within the guidelines stated in this dietary policy.\n<\/p>\n\n <b>General Policy<\/b>\n <p>\n Camp Yamhill will make menus for each camp available in advance so that campers will be able to determine if there are concerns that \n need to be addressed and if substitutions need to be made.\n Camp Yamhill cannot guarantee a camper&#8217;s dietary restrictions will be met. \n Our kitchen staff will make every reasonable effort, within the guidelines of our Special Dietary Policy, to help campers who have dietary restrictions. \n <\/p><p>\n Ultimately, it is the camper\u2019s responsibility to see that their dietary needs are met.In regards to special dietary needs, \n it is our goal for everyone to have the opportunity to come to camp and enjoy their experience without feeling singled out, \n embarrassed or sick. and Indemnity, and Other Provisions)<\/span><\/b><\/p>In consideration of the services of  YAMHILL ENCAMPMENT, INC, a Non-Profit Organization,  organized and existing under the laws of the State of Oregon ( referred to in this document as \u201cCAMP YAMHILL\u201d), I , Participant and Parent of a minor participant, acknowledge and agree, for myself and on behalf of a minor participant for whom I sign, as follows:<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Activities and Risks<\/span><\/p>I understand that the challenge course activities conducted by Camp Yamhill, the structures and premises on which they are conducted and related equipment, may expose participants to certain risks.  The activities require moderate physical exertion, and include a variety of games and initiatives, high and low challenge course elements (a variety of structures over, through and on which participants may be asked to walk, swing or climb, with or without the assistance of staff or co-participants) and associated challenge course climbing activities.  Certain of the challenge course elements may be as high as 50 feet off the ground and, while reasonable measures will be taken to prevent a fall or collision, accidents may occur.Among the hazards and risks of the activities and use of the premises and equipment are the following:  falls; abrupt and possibly damaging contact with structures and other objects, and other persons; anxieties and fears associated with heights; close contact with other participants; the carelessness of participants, and misjudgments on the part of the staff of Camp Yamhill, the failure of structures and equipment; and the unpredictable forces of nature.  Participants may experience an increased heart rate and other symptoms of anxiety and stress due to physical exertion, reliance on other participants, and a fear of height or of being unprotected or falling.  Participants and staff may fail to follow proper procedures, instructions and the operating policies of Camp Yamhill.  Injuries associated with participation in this program may include breaks, sprains, strains, bruises and other contusions and in extreme cases, emotional upset, anxiety and even death.I understand that there may be times during the training day in which participants will not be supervised by Camp Yamhill, and that Camp Yamhill has no responsibility for participant during those times, or for the general condition of the premises on which the activities are conducted, or for any activity on such premises other than the actual training activities.The description above of these risks is not complete and other unknown or unanticipated risks may result in property loss, injury or death. Engaging in these activities may require a degree of skill and knowledge different from other activities with which participants may be familiar.  Participants have responsibilities for managing the risks to themselves others. The training activities are instructional in nature and participants are expected to expand and challenge their skills and judgment. Participant and Parent acknowledge that participation in this activity is purely voluntary, and with full knowledge of the inherent and other risks.<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risks<\/span><\/p>Understanding the nature of the activities and their risks, and that other risks may be encountered which cannot be reasonably anticipated, I acknowledge and expressly assume all risks of the Camp Yamhill activities, whether or not described in this document, known or unknown and inherent or not.  I take full responsibility for any injury or loss, including death, which I, or the minor for whom I sign, my suffer, arising in whole or part out of my, or the minor\u2019s, enrollment or participation in the activities of Camp Yamhill.<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Release and Indemnity<\/span><\/p>If I am an adult Participant or the Parent of a minor Participant, I hereby agree, for myself and on behalf of the minor participant for whom I sign below,  TO RELEASE,  INDEMNIFY (that is, defend, protect and pay claims , including costs and attorneys fees), AND HOLD HARMLESS  Camp Yamhill, its owners, officers, agents, and employees, (\u201cReleased Parties\u201d), with respect to any and all claims of injury, disability, death, or other loss or damage to person or property suffered by me, by any member of my family, rescuers, co-participants, or any other person, arising in whole or part from my participation in the training or any related activity, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF A RELEASED PARTY OR OTHERWISE, and to the fullest extent permitted by law.<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Additional Provisions<\/span><\/p>           I, an adult Participant or Parent of a minor Participant, authorize Camp Yamhill to provide or obtain for  me, or for the minor, such medical care as it considers necessary and appropriate, and I agree to pay all costs associated with such care and related transportation. Camp Yamhill and any third party medical care giver are authorized to exchange medical information concerning my, or the minor\u2019s, medical condition.  Any dispute between a Released Party and Parent or Participant will be governed by the substantive laws of the State of  Oregon (not including laws which might apply the laws of another jurisdiction), and any mediation or suit shall take place only in that state, in Yamhill County.  If the dispute cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, I agree to submit it to a mediator recognized by the Courts of that State and County.  I will pay all costs and attorney&#8217;s fees incurred by any Released Party in defending a claim or suit brought by me, or by or on behalf of the minor participant, if the claim or suit is withdrawn or to the extent a court or mediator determines that the Released Party is not responsible for the claimed injury or loss.This agreement is entered into voluntarily, and after careful consideration. Its terms cannot be supplemented or amended except in writing.  I understand and agree that it is binding, to the fullest extent allowed by law, upon all persons signing below, their respective heirs, executors, administrators, wards, minor children (whether or not they are Participants) and other family members.  If any part of this agreement is found by a Court or other appropriate authority to be invalid, the remainder of the agreement nevertheless shall be in full force and effect. \n*Participants must wear I agree that camp fees will be paid prior to attending the camp events and not refunded if the participant leaves camp early for any reason other than sickness. I understand camp conduct policies as described at www.campyamhill.org and I, or the minor Participant, agrees to adhere by them. I agree that Camp Yamhill will not be held responsible if any of the participant&#8217;s property is lost, stolen or damaged during a camp event. I further consent to myself, or the minor participant, being photographed for purposes of recording the camp experience, that these photographs may be used on the camp&#8217;s website or for other publicity purposes.
