Teaching components using current environmental puzzles
encourage students to brainstorm possible solutions. CYCOS
encourages young people to make a conscience choice to be
part of the solution and to respect, care for and help
manage the living wonder of our environment. Such insight
becomes an integral facet of comprehending God.
In addition to experienced Camp Yamhill staff, volunteer
field leaders provide guidance and safety for CYCOS
participants. Active Christian senior citizens, church youth
leaders, and teens help nurture individual students on their
trail of discovery. They guide, questioning minds and help
celebrate friendship in a secure setting. The classroom
teachers enjoy ample opportunity to assist, supervise and
discover along with their students. Environmental scientists
and other specialists will share their expertise when
available.
